An annual herb in the family of Apiaceae, Coriander is popularly known as ‘dhaniya’. It’s an annual plant and survives one growing season.
It is a great source of dietarymanganese, iron,fiber, and magnesium. Coriander leaves are rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin K and protein and also it contain considerable amount of calcium, potassium, thiamine, niacin, phosphorous and carotene.

It helps to stimulate the insulin secretion and lower the blood sugar levels. Coriander is good forAlzheimer, protects from lung and cavity cancers and noble against inflammatory diseases such as arthritis.
Store and Use
Store in the zip-lock bag and refrigerate. It can also be preserved using Turmeric Water Method;the leaves will stay fresh till about two to three weeks.
Place of Origin
It is cultivated extensively in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
